Affiliate disclosure
How SafeKeep makes money, in plain terms: some outbound links to hosts are affiliate links, and they never change our rankings or what we say about a host's security.
SafeKeep is funded by affiliate commissions. When you click certain links to a hosting provider and later sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is standard for review sites, and US Federal Trade Commission guidance requires we disclose it clearly — which is what this page does.
How our affiliate links work
Every affiliate link on SafeKeep routes through a /go/ redirect and is marked as sponsored, so you always know when a link may earn us a commission. We currently work with, or plan to work with, the affiliate programs of SiteGround, A2 Hosting, Cloudways, GreenGeeks, ChemiCloud, FastComet and Liquid Web. Commissions are typically a one-time payment per referred customer; a couple of these programs pay a recurring share. None of it is visible to you, and none of it costs you anything.
Why it doesn't bias our rankings
We rank hosts on their security — free SSL, malware scanning and removal, backups, DDoS and firewall, isolation, patching and uptime — never on what they pay. The clearest proof is the advice we give most often and earn nothing from: put your site behind Cloudflare's free plan, our top security recommendation on nearly every page, which pays us no commission at all. We also recommend keeping your own backups and using tools that cost you nothing. Our most secure web hosting ranking would look identical if every affiliate program disappeared tomorrow.
Accuracy and pricing honesty
Every security feature we describe comes from the provider's own documentation, dated, and framed as advertised; we don't fabricate tests or publish numbers we didn't measure. All prices are advertised rates read on a dated day, and where a host uses promotional pricing we show the renewal, not just the intro. If any of that ever slips, email [email protected] and we'll correct it.
